The Center for Contemporary Art of Montenegro was founded in 1995 and is one of the most important cultural institutions of the country. The Center’s permanent collection includes an international selection of over 1,000 artworks from 60 different countries, divided into four collections: African, Asian, Latin-American and European art. The Podgorica-based institution is also responsible for producing and organising a range of programmes covering all fields of art and multimedia. Two smaller galleries, the Perjanicki Dom and the Centar, belong to the Center, and are used for specific exhibitions and cultural events.
